Inez Beatrice Robinson Ingalls was the wife of lighthouse keeper Eugene Ingalls. She was no stranger to lighthouses. She was the daughter of veteran lighthouse keeper Herbert Robinson who served at Lubec Channel Lighthouse, West Quoddy Head Lighthouse, Moose Peak Lighthouse, Pemaquid Point Lighthouse, and Monhegan Lighthouse. She lived with her lighthouse keeper husband Eugene Ingalls at West Quoddy Head Lighthouse where she had also lived as a lighthouse keeper’s daughter. Their daughter, Rita Francis, was born at West Quoddy Head Lighthouse. She became a young widow with two small children when her husband lost his life at Petit Manan Lighthouse.
