Shown here (circa 1915) in front of the Santa Barbara Lighthouse in Santa Barbara California is Harley Alonzo Weeks who died in April of 1925 just a couple of months before the Santa Barbara Lighthouse was destroyed by an earthquake. He is shown here with his daughter Helen and son Albert. He had previously been stationed at Point Conception Lighthouse as a 1st assistant keeper from 1889 to 1892 and then as the head keeper from 1895 to 1913 when he was transferred to the Santa Barbara Lighthouse. While stationed at Point Conception Lighthouse, the Weeks family became good friends with Antonio Souza and his wife. (Courtesy Weeks Family Archive.)
