The lower half of the tower staircase was in good order sporting some recent paint. It’s too bad that the outside of the tower hadn’t had the same treatment. According to the Chinook Observer earlier this year, “unofficially, plans are said to be in preparation to rehabilitate that historic lighthouse.” Hopefully, they will get it repainted soon.
