On the evening of April 25th, the dual aerobeacon, operating since about 1972, was switched off. A temporary LED beacon was lit which is mounted (and barely visible) on the top of the scaffolding. The LED has the same flash pattern, and will remain in place until the new replica Fresnel lens is installed in 2025. Back to the edition of: May/Jun 2024
