Canada’s Brier Island Lighthouse in Nova Scotia also received some much needed restoration work last year. This photo shows the lighthouse all wrapped up during restoration. The Brier Island Lighthouse, located near Westport, Nova Scotia is also known as Western Point Lighthouse and Western Lighthouse. The current Brier Island tower was built in 1944 to replace a tower that was built in 1832 and destroyed by fire.
