Burleigh Chandler giving his daughter, Brenda Lee, a ride in a wheelbarrow at Little River Lighthouse (circa 1965-66). After he was stationed at Little River Lighthouse, Burleigh Chandler went on to serve as a lighthouse keeper at Maine’s Bear Island Lighthouse and Petit Manan Lighthouse. During his 20-year career in the Coast Guard, he also served at many other Coast Guard stations as well as on the Coast Guard cutter White Lupine out of Rockland, Maine.
