The lighthouse keepers during Burleigh Chandler’s time at Little River Lighthouse had an antenna attached to the top of the tower. If you look closely, you will see Burleigh Chandler’s wife, Donalene at the base of the tower with a dog. Although at this time Little River Lighthouse was a three-man stag station, it was not uncommon for married keepers to bring their wives and children out to the lighthouse.
