The 1901 Cape Byron Lighthouse receives 1.2 million visitors per year, making it the most visited lighthouse in Australia. According to the Australian Maritime Safety Authority, the agency that manages the nation’s lighthouses, “it remains the most powerful lighthouse on the Australian coastline with its lens projecting at 2.2 million candle power.”
