We are looking for photographs of the second Bodie Island Lighthouse and the current Bodie Island Lighthouse before, or while its bands were being painted on. Just as with the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, there are no known photographs prior to 1893. How is it possible that all known early photographs of both Cape Hatteras and Bodie Island Lighthouses have disappeared? Will you be the detective to solve the mystery?
