Children of George Nicholas Davies, first lighthouse keeper of Canada’s West Coast. George Nicholas Davies, Jr., in chair at left, James William Davies is the tallest one in the suit at left and David Henry Davies at the right in a suit. With the sailors from the H.M.S. Rainbow, George, Jr. was fire chief at Nanaimo in B.C. Canada. Earlier he had been in a mine explosion that killed 148 men. James Davies served as a lighthouse keeper in B.C. and later bacame a marine engineer for the government. David was also an engineer in Nanaimo. Photo courtesy of Joy and Ken Davies.
