The former Rochester North Pier Light in Rochester, New York (a.k.a. Charlotte Genesee Pierhead Beacon) has been sitting in storage at the Rochester Gas and Electric Coal Fired Russell Generating Station for many years. With the scheduled demolition of the station, the old lighthouse may go to the scrap metal heap unless someone steps forward very soon to save it. The structure may not look like a typical lighthouse, but it is still of historical importance and it would be a shame to see it destroyed. With a little TLC it could be a neat historical display.
