Florida’s Ponce Inlet Lighthouse Preservation Association has acquired the Pacetti House and Hotel, a historic property that sits across the street from the lighthouse. The property was purchased from the Green Acres Foundation.
The building was originally built by Pons Park pioneers Bartola and Martha Pacetti in the 1800s using funds generated from their sale of ten acres of land to the federal government to build the Mosquito Inlet Lighthouse, which is now known as the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse and the Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse in Ponce Inlet, Florida. The history of the Pacetti House, Pacetti Hotel, and the Pacetti Boarding House is closely linked to that of the keepers who maintained it and to the families who once called the lighthouse home.
