Notes: This lighthouse originally served as a front range light; the skeletal Waackaack tower in Keansburg, NJ, served as the rear range light. The Lighthouse was sold by the General Services Admin. in 2010 for $40,000 to a private individual. The auction took place under the National Historic Lighthouse Preservation Act of 2000. The lighthouse was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy, also known as Superstorm Sandy, on October 29, 2012. Height of Focal Plane: 51 Description of Tower: Conical, cast iron

Directions: This site is located offshore of the Gateway National Recreation Area's Great Kills Park. Enter the park through the large parking area to the first Beachhouse Parking Lot.
