3300 tons of granite were used to build this tower. This was the first lighthouse of its type to have a helicopter deck constructed at its summit (1973). Tower Height: 135 Height of Focal Plane: 112 Characteristic and Range: White flash every 15 seconds, visible for 23 nautical miles.
