Notes:
After the lighthouse was damaged in the hurricane of September 1938, a wider cylindrical caisson was built around the original one. The lighthouse today is very close to the Braga Bridge. Under the National Historic Lighthouse Preservation Act the lighthouse was sold at auction in 2010 to Nick Korstad. The new owner, who has meticulously restored the lighthouse, had it painted with a distinctive red band. In 2017 Nick Korstad sold the lighthouse to Kevin and Carole Ferias who said they planned to continue the overnight stays program, plus expand it to include special events. Tower Height: 50 Height of Focal Plane: 47 Characteristic and Range: Flashing white every 2.5 seconds. Description of Tower: White conical cast iron tower with black cast iron lantern, on cast iron and concrete caisson.
