Notes:
Sabin Point Light was built to mark a sharp turn in the main ship channel in the Providence River. In 1968 the lighthouse was discontinued and its lantern and Fresnel lens were removed and carted away on a barge. Then, on July 4th of that year, as part of an Independence Day Celebration, the East Providence Fire Department set the historic lighthouse ablaze, completely destroying it. The whereabouts of the lens and the lantern remain a mystery to this day.
