Notes:
The keeper's cottage was moved to shore (without its lantern) to Rodanthe after this light was deactivated. It was used as a school for some time, and now serves as the Chicamacomico Community Center.

Height of Focal Plane: 35

Characteristic and Range: Fixed red; range 9 nautical miles

Description of Tower: White, square screwpile structure with a black lantern.

This light is not operational

Optics: Fifth order Fresnel lens.
