Notes:
Presqu'ile is French for "almost an island." Presqu'ile is one of the best places in Ontario for birdwatching.

Description of Tower: White, octagonal pyramidal stone tower (lantern removed in 1952).

Museum?
There is a Lighthouse Interpretive Centre at Presqu'ile Provincial Park. Regular interpretive programs are offered in the park from April through October, including slide talks, guided hikes and children's programs.

Directions:
Turn south at the Highway 30 exit on the Highway 401, which is the main artery between Toronto, Ontario and Montreal, Quebec. Brighton is approximately halfway between Toronto and Kingston. Once you reach the town watch for the signs to the park. A fee is charged to enter the park.
