This is a staffed light station. Dassen Island is an important nesting site for African penguins and other species. The island is managed as the Dassen Island Nature Reserve.

Characteristic and Range: Two white flashes every 30 seconds.

Description of Tower: Conical cast-iron tower with red and white bands.
