The current tower first served as the North Pier Light from 1901 until about 1916, then was moved to the North Breakwater. Public outcry saved this light from being demolished in the 1980s. Tower Height: 46 Description of Tower: Red, square steel tower; upper part enclosed, lower part open (skeletal).
