Notes:
The first order lens in this lighthouse is one of the few still in use in the U.S. The lighthouse is very similar to Heceta Head Light.

Museum?
The Coastal Visitor Center occupies the former Umpqua River U.S. Coast Guard Station. This building is now a musuem and is the originating point for tours of the lighthouse. The lighthouse is open for six-person tours from May 1 to September 30. Hours are 10 am to 4 pm Wednesday through Saturday and 1 to 5 pm on Sunday. 

Directions:
The lighthouse and visitor center are off US 101 about a mile south of Winchester Bay.
