Yaquina Head Lighthouse sits within the Yaquina Head Outstanding Natural Area near Newport, Oregon. The station was automated in 1966, and since 1993 the Bureau of Land Management has overseen its preservation along with its Cooperative Association partner, Friends of Yaquina Lighthouses.
