The gravestone at Cedar Cemetery in Jamestown, Rhode Island of lighthouse keeper John J. Cook, who was born in Germany in 1862, and his wife Martha Louise Cook. As well as serving at the Stamford Harbor Lighthouse, he served at the Rockland Lake Lighthouse in New York, the Sandy Hook East Beacon Light in New Jersey and Dutch Island Lighthouse in Rhode Island.
