This image of the Duluth Harbor South Breakwater Inner Lighthouse was painted by noted artist John Atherton (1900-1952) for the June 14, 1947 edition of the Saturday Evening Post as part of what the Post called their “Family Album of America Regions.” It was one of 40 paintings that Atherton did for the Saturday Evening Post.
