Boat Bluff Lightstation can be seen at the lower left. About this photo, Chris Mills says, “One day I crossed the channel and hiked a thousand feet on at least a thirty percent grade to the dam for the Klemtu hydro plant. The view from the top was amazing, and it made the lightstation look insignificant indeed.” Chris Mills says about Boat Bluff, “Not a great place for people who like to walk any distance in a straight line - there were 70-odd steps next to the freight tram from the landing up to the assistant’s house, and otherwise, you used a series of switchbacking boardwalks to get around.”
