Lighthouse Explorer Photo

The 1897 temporary jetty light. This was on top of a single-room building on stilts, with a red light occulting every 2 seconds, with a focal plane of about 35 feet. Keepers from the Bolivar Lighthouse serviced this light. By the early 1900s it was replaced by a daybeacon with a red square on a pyramidal slatted structure on piles atop a concrete block.
