Notes:
Franklin Island Light is the third oldest lighthouse station in Maine. A light was established in 1805, although the first tower wasn't completed until 1807. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service manages Franklin Island, but a group called Franklin Light Preservation, Inc., has a license from the Coast Guard to care for the lighthouse.

Description of Tower: White cylindrical brick tower with black and red cast iron lantern.
