Egyptian Ports and Lighthouses
The paint scheme of the 1869 tower changed at least a couple of times over the years. In 1926 it was painted black with white on the seaward side, and in the early 1990s it was white with black stripes. In recent years the lighthouse has been replaced by a framework tower.
