This was originally a cast iron tower. In 1960 the tower was encased in an octagonal concrete shell.

Height of Focal Plane: 74

Characteristic and Range: Flashing white, visible for 10 nautical miles.

Description of Tower: Octagonal tower (cast iron encased in concrete) with alternating red and white horizontal bands.

Date Present Tower Built: 1880

Optics: 1880: Fourth order Fresnel lens.

Fog Signal: 1921: Fog alarm; 1950: new fog alarm.

Current Use: Active aid to navigation.
