Notes:
This light is at the end of Gloucester Breakwater, also known as Dog Bar Breakwater, which starts near Eastern Point Lighthouse. The keepers at Eastern Point Light for some years also cared for this light.

Tower Height: 37

Height of Focal Plane: 45

Characteristic and Range: Oc R 4s, visible for 10 nautical miles.

Description of Tower: Small white building and tower on brown square skeleton framework.

This light is operational

Date Established: 1905

Date Present Tower Built: 1905

Fog Signal: 1 blast every 10 seconds.

Current Use: Active aid to navigation.

Open To Public? Grounds only.

Directions:
From Rte 128 North take exit 9 (Gloucester). At the traffic light, continue straight to Eastern Point Boulevard, with stone pillars on either side of the road. Take a right on Eastern Point Boulevard and follow to the parking lot at the end of the road near Eastern Point Lighthouse. It is possible to walk out on the breakwater.
