Because of dredging and channel shifting, there have been several successive range towers at Owen Sound, each new one seemingly taller than the preceding one. (Thanks to Michel Forand.) Tower Height: 34 Height of Focal Plane: 39 Characteristic and Range: Fixed red, visible for 7 miles. Description of Tower: 1895: White, square, pyramidal wooden tower with a red stripe.
