Date Established: 1962 Date Present Tower Built: 1962 Date Automated: 1988 Fog Signal: Automated horn, six second blast every 60 seconds. Current Use: Active aid to navigation. Open To Public? Grounds only. Directions: From Route 3 in Liverpool, follow Bristol Avenue to a stop sign. Turn left on Main Street, then right on School Street. After about .7 mile (1.2 km) turn right on Western Head Road and follow for 4.2 miles (6.8 km) to Breakwater Road and turn left. Follow a short distance to the lighthouse, where there is plenty of free parking.
