Michigan Lighthouse Conservancy
There is a NOAA research facility adjacent to the pier and lighthouse. In 2010, under the National Historic Lighthouse Preservation Act ownership of the lighthouse was transferred to the nonprofit Michigan Lighthouse Conservancy.
