Notes:
This light was moved to a different location in 1994. In 2002 the new tower was raised by 48 feet, making it the tallest lighthouse on the Korean Peninsula. Hwaamchu Lighthouse serves as a major navigation monitoring and communications facility (radar, VHF, meteorological services, etc.).

Description of Tower: White conical concrete tower, with a two-level control office about halfway up the tower.
