Notes:
This is Corsica's northernmost lighthouse and one of its oldest. Because of its remote location, it took 10 years to build, based on plans drawn up by LĂ©once Reynaud, an architect who worked as an engineer at France's Service des Phares et Balises and then was its director for 32 years (1846-78).

Directions:
Accessible by boat only. There is a good view of the island and the lighthouse from the Barcaggio waterfront.
